My career started at PwC, where I worked on some of the most complex tax engagements in the country — Fortune 500 multinationals, cross-border transactions, and large-scale restructurings. From there I moved to a large regional firm, advising mid-market companies on everything from entity structure to M&A tax strategy.
What I kept seeing was a gap. Individuals with complicated situations — self-employed, real estate investors, small business owners, non-profits — were being passed off to junior staff or underserved entirely. The people who needed the most thoughtful advice were getting the least of it.
So I built Brisq. The idea is straightforward: bring the rigor and depth of big-firm tax work to the clients who actually benefit most from it — without the overhead, the billable-hour anxiety, or the feeling that you're a small fish in a large pond.
